There's a particular kind of dread that has nothing to do with the period itself: the moment you stand up and aren't sure, yet, whether you got away with it. It's the not-knowing that lingers, not the day itself. That's a fair thing to worry about, and it deserves a straight answer, not a marketing one.

Earthfest is a four-day sustainability festival held each year at King's Cross, London, running 5-8 June in 2025, with zones across the site including its own Expo, stage areas, and a Fashion Quarter. Mighty Eve's own stand was there for two of those four days, 6 and 7 June, set up in a marquee alongside other sustainability-focused exhibitors, including the Vegan Society.

We had our full range on the table: period pants, reusable pads, and gift boxes, alongside our own physical FAQ information cards for people who wanted to read before they asked. People stopped, looked, and asked the same honest questions they'd otherwise only type into a search bar.

Where does the blood go?
It's rarely about the mechanics first. It's not having the period that feels embarrassing, it's the flooding in front of people, and the mess afterwards, that people are actually afraid of. A bamboo charcoal liner sits against your skin and draws moisture away; a microfibre core beneath it absorbs and holds what the liner pulls through; a waterproof polyurethane layer stops anything getting to your clothes; a silicone backing keeps everything in place so it doesn't shift. Nothing is left to sit on the surface. It's drawn through and locked away.
